Some User Reviews

"So far I'm impressed with this little speaker, It has really good sound and great battery life."

"This is a very nice, waterproof, bluetooth speaker, that actually has two speakers inside of it, allowing the unit to have a much better sound performance then a speaker with just one,"

"This is a portable bluetooth speaker that unlike others in this price range works great indoors and out. Normally I get some range/volume issues with the outdoor use of a soundbar and have had no problems with this one. The sound remains consistent and can be heard great outside."

Overall Rating: 9/10 considering the price

"Pros

  • These speakers are really inexpensive.
  • The transmitter range is quite decent. I didn't have any issues sending music from my living room through a glass door to my patio which is around 80 feet away from the transmitter. There were only ocasional dropouts but overall the wireless connection was pretty reliable.
  • The transmitter easily hooks up to a PC via USB.
  • Both speakers work as stereo speakers unlike some other wireless speaker models.

Cons

  • Low battery life
  • Low output watts"

"I ordered these speakers to use outside on my deck by the pool. The transmitter is upstairs in my house, and the reception works well outside. I plug them in vs. using batteries since others reported that batteries die quickly. Very happy with this purchase."

"The future of our wireless world will include speakers located wherever you have an outlet with the ability to play whatever and however we want. The Heos gets this future half right by succeeding with the hardware and falling short with the software."

"In the end I am really happy with this. It was super easy to use and the audio quality was pretty good for a speaker this size. The speaker is easy to setup and was super easy to use."

"When it comes to how well the Denon HEOS speakers play music, they sound wonderful. Having listened to both the HEOS 3 and the HEOS 5 speakers for a while now, I'd say the HEOS 5 is definitely worth the extra money. It's not just a small difference."

"I bought these speakers about 2 weeks ago for my home office. I wanted a bluetooth setup to limit the number of wires. The speakers needed to be self-powered (no external amp). I wanted to drive the speakers from my Mac, or from my iPad. My office is about 300 square feet, so I wanted something with a full sound."

"I am using the outside on my deck for the summer season, and plan to move them into the man cave come autumn. The Bluetooth works flawlessly, along with the remote."

"These speakers are easy to set up and the remote works well for turning on the main power and selecting various input sources as well as adjusting bass and treble. "

Some user reviews

"These speakers represent a novel approach to "computer sound." The design and execution make them well worth the price. Mine are still breaking in, but it's already clear that the limitation is going to be the quality of the digital source material, not the speakers. I have a "high end" sound system at home, but to be able plug-in and play this amazing self-contained system at work is a joy."

"When my computer speakers started sounding soft and without the intelligibility they used to produce I decided to go first class and I feel the kef's fill that bill. They have good punch and once I played around with levels and speaker positioning everything works to my satisfaction."

"as expected from KEF .. excellent low frequency response..and sound stage reproduction"
