Why do you need IPS panel?

There are 4 types of LCD panels. TN (Twisted Nematic), Vertical Alignment (VA), In-plane Switching (IPS), Super-IPS (S-IPS).

TN panel being the most common and cheapest, it have good response time but produce poor viewing angles and color reproduction.

The VA panel has wide viewing angles and good color reproduction but lacks fast response time and can produce ghost effects and picture lag.
